The Importance of Safe Sex & Positive Sex Store

I recently had the misfortune of reading comments on an article. I know, anytime I ever mention reading comments on articles, everyone around me tells me that I made a very stupid decision. And honestly, that’s pretty true. It’s kinda ridiculous how useless/stupid comments have become.

But this article, in particular, annoyed me. It’s because the author had mentioned using gloves in the article during sex. A lot of the commenters thought it meant the guy (who was using the gloves on the woman mentioned in the article) didn’t like the girl. Or that the guy was assuming that the female was “disease-ridden”.

Since I spend so much time around sex-positive people, the idea of being grossed out or confused by gloves doesn’t even cross my mind when I think about sex. Now that I’m “forced” to face this weird aversion people have, though, I’m concerned. Why is the idea of having secure sex a bad thing? Why is it getting even harder for me to find sex toy stores online that sell dental dams or that sell gloves? In fact, it seems to be more common to find stores that sell only condoms and don’t sell any other type of safe sex item.

I’m kinda lucky to know about the few sex-positive toy stores out there. They may not always have the largest sex toy selection, but I do trust their product descriptions, and I always have trusted that they’ll have the safe sex items I need - or will know where to point me to make sure I get the items I need.

One of those places is Babeland. For as long as I can remember, they’ve sold a good assortment of condoms as well as gloves and dental dams. When I was still very uneducated about many things, I’d specifically seek out the asextoys website for sexual questions because I knew they had well-informed experts who knew what they were talking about. Plus, they even have a “size chart” for condoms which is definitely a rarity on many sites I’ve seen. Glass Dildos have nice appearance just like an art in your bedroom. The first time meet this glass dildo you will just look it as a common or expensive gift on the shaves.

I just like the idea that there are still sex-positive places out there who consider it important to educate and understand protected sex. It still terrifies me that the “masses” don’t seem to fully understand all aspects of having safer sex, but for myself, I know that there’s places like Babeland who will support me with information and products to make sure that I can continue to have my sex life as safely as I’d like to have it.
